Stephanie Thornton Plymale wrote a powerful memoir about the difficult relationship with her mother and traumatic childhood. Using one of the few remaining childhood photos, I did significant Photoshop work to restore the photo and create the cover.
These four cover comps were presented to the author. She had a strong vision for her cover of the use of a photograph. The cover that she chose features herself as a young girl. The second comp is a photo of her mother, who is a strong presence in the memoir.
